An impromptu video of a classic cycling loop through the dales of County Durham. Relatively short but with challenging gradients offering the prospect of fast descents, the route explores areas of County Durham whose history lies in the lead mining industry of the North Pennines.

i really like your videos this is another great one highlighting those wonderful valleys, I'm a bit further north and have Northumberland on my doorstep. Keep up the great work.
An area that I cycle regularly (both on and off-road), and walk. Weardale and Teesdale are great counties and you got a lovely weather day for it.
I really appreciated the facts popping up on the screen.
Great video and route, cheers 🚲🙂👍
Oh, and "territorial chickens" … 🤣🤣🤣
We are blessed with stunning countryside in Co Durham and lots of cycling choices from great paths to mainly quiet roads.

On a bit of a negative note, might I recommend that you wear a helmet, it might save your life!
