I grew up in a situation where we didn’t always have a lot of money. I got around on my bike a lot because my parents were working. Then when I left home, I had some hard times when, even though I owned a car, I couldn’t afford to drive it.
My bike was always there. It got me to work for two years. 25 miles a day, it helped keep a roof over my head.
Now I cycle because I love to be on the bike. But that is a life skill that could come in handy.
