Oh, those old steel road bikes look soooo pretty, but I cannot imagine myself cycling across the hills around here without the low-end gear ratios those beauties sadly lack. Especially with the extra bikepacking weight!

Nice setup! On a more general note, where does everyone see the line between bike touring and bikepacking? In my mind, touring is on road and bikepacking is mainly off road. Have I missed something?

I am amazed that u are using a racer for bikepacking. Oooh and the “no panniers system is slick AF, gotta try that with rubber straps from the tyre tube.
