  1. leaving you bike and bags..i personally secure my bike with a folding lock to a fixed object and secure my Ortlieb bags with the wire, you can integrate in the bag. i keep all valuables in one backpack that i take with me, and leave the rest. I would survive someone stealing my clothes ore tent and stuff. Not over -night but during the day it has never been a problem. But there is a risk.

  2. Episode 32, featuring the Great Cicada Uprising. Here in Aurora we are experiencing a grasshopper invasion. They usually proliferate at this time of year, but this season it seems to be 3X more than normal. Janet's garden is suffering. They're eating literally everything. I'm sure climate change has something to do with it; Spring was abnormally hot this year.

There's that word again, "hot"… For you, not too much 🌞, but lots of 😁.

  3. Insect looks like what we call a katydid. Heat and humidity together will knock your @#$% in the dirt (add that idiom your vocabulary 😊). Showers rolling in on us even as I type, temp dropped from 103 to 97 in minutes. πŸ‘

  4. Nice editing Tim. Blending the sound of the cicadas with the relaxing music πŸ‘.
The illumination in the tunnel was very fancy.
I have only done day trips on the trike myself, so I have no experience with taking lots of stuff with me.
But I have 1 top box on the rear rack that is made of hard plastic which is bolted on and can be locked with a key. I can lock the panniers on the trike with a simple small padlock and I have 1 pannier from Ortlieb that can be transformed into a backpack by flipping a cover to the other side, so that you can easily take it with you. Furthermore, I have a cover to cover the entire trike (from Ali Express and actually made for a quad, although I think it should be a children's quad to fit on).
I once heard from another triker that it was a good idea to park the trike (of course locked with a chain) in a fairly busy place because of the social control. (thieves are not so eager to steal things when there are a lot of people around)
Stay cool and have fun with trinny.

  5. Great vlog again. Loved that tunnel. How the noises change. At the beginning of your tour it was huge long trains. Now it's the wildlife😊. Thanks Tim. Stay safe in the heat.

  6. Great video again. Enjoying following the journey, like you say it’s a pity at times that you can’t be a tourist, but safety first. Still great views and a great adventure.

  7. Be careful with the hot weather. That was a really HIGH bridge. I love the drone footage. Hope you got some much needed rest and sleep, Tim. 😴😴
