Wow, that is fast. You have to think this is one of the reasons Duplantis is so good on the pole vault since I suspect he is the fastest guy to ever compete in the event. I know nothing about the pole vault but I got to think that speed on the runway must help the upward momentum on the vault.

Duplantis could definitely run a sub 10 if he ran 100 meter instead of pole vaulting, that speed is insane though to beat people who do running events even if it is a hurdler
Still absolutely mind boggling that Karsten ran 400H in 45 beyond insane. Yea if he had just a tiny bit more explosive power he would take the 400 flat too. He is a floater.

As a sprinter I would say they both exhibit the same speed. Mondo had better start and early acceleration that made the difference.
