The Marriott’s Way is a 26 mile footpath, bridleway and cycle route which follows along the two disused railway lines between Norwich and Aylsham. Over the years the route has been worked on to make it an accessible and safe route for all to enjoy. It’s steeped in local history and along the way you can see parts of the railway. The pathway will take you through woodlands and open countryside and give you good views of the River Wensum. You can also access commons, parks and picnic areas while seeing a variety of wildlife and plants. As with these old railway routes, you can access them at different locations which is what we did today. It really is a fantastic route, once you’re on it you forget that you’re in the middle of Norwich and local towns… definitely worth a look on foot or by bike.

Another great bike run , not done the Marriott's way , and riding on a disused railway line even better , who was you with to-day ?, Cheers Jeff
Loved this, a great day for a bike ride. Dave says he enjoys cycling along old railway lines. He has done a few in The Peak District. I have to admit i haven't been on a bike since i was 12 and I'm 57 now so quite a while back. Looks great fun though. Beautiful scenery. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤
