  1. I still don't understand why that team didn't buy UCI certified bikes. They knew they needed them and there are cheap chinese frames that are UCI certified and I'd even consider them good enough quality, like Ican. I think they'd even be able to get them on as a sponsor if they tried.

  2. I love to service my own bikes, love to tinker and I have paid for maintenance days to learn to do all this. I don’t know everything, so will still use the LBS when needed. Simple tasks like headset bearings on my winter warrior which needs changing every year due to conditions is easy, but my SL5 looks great but conscious when the bearings go it’ll be a costly job at my LBS which I’d have been happier with cables showing. It wouldn’t have looked that bad as used to that look and so much more satisfying when I’d finish changing the bearings for £20 all in😁👍

  3. I break the projected mould then because I have a XC 120mm travel bike with remote lockout, integrated headset, PF BB, and do all my own maintenance. It is not difficult and would not have it any other way, makes my bike easy to clean off all the mud , not think about battery recharging…and it looks fantastic 😀(Scott SparK RC).

  4. How do we get one of these Chris King made headsets for a Time bike? Or is it just the “Aeroset” which is rather a pricey aftermarket option?

Would be good on the other channel to see a video about headsets and preparing for winter

  5. The equivalent of a Le Mans car doesn't really exist in cycling, because all bikes are road suitable, except track bikes. But I want a "racey" bike, not some noodly endurance horror with handlebars round my ears (Spesh Roubaix, that's you).

But…I don't want integration. So…a lower end road bike.

    Or keep my Tarmac SL6…😅

  6. My ears picked up when you mentioned St Piran, they are based at my local bike shop just a few miles from where I live.Hopefully they can sort it out as I would hate to see the shop go under, they have been there for many years.

As for gravel bikes I personally feel they are an excellent compromise if all out speed isn't your main objective. Mines a little slower than my road bike but far more comfortable and can go pretty much anywhere.

  7. You forgot TT bikes, not that I am remotely interested in one or is TT race only? Doesn't matter how many times to slice the cake you still can't get (cake) framsets!!!! and there are tonnes of bike still sitting in bike shops even though we are told the glut is over and we will have to start paying full price for our bikes!

  8. That infinite categories of bikes becomes really stupid, and makes people confused. For example, I have Look blade RS, previous model. I'm not sure how Look managed to make this full on aero race bike so comfortable, but with it's a bit higher and taller geometry, for me, it is great comfy endurance bike (with 28c tires).
