Rohan Harlow was a star amongst roller speed skaters in Great Britain in the early/mid 1980’s. His rise to prominence was meteoric and saw him achieve a number of accolades. These included becoming Britain’s first ever Junior European medalist in 1981 and also being crowned the youngest senior British Champion when he won the 20km aged just 15 in 1982. He would go on to win multiple British titles and European medals which included a gold in the relay alongside team mates John E. Fry and Darren Cobley in Vienna in 1984. Just 3 years later and Harlow would walk away from the sport for good. Almost four decades on he discusses here his time on skates and why aged just 20 he decided to call it a day.
