Children in Glasgow are cycling to their school in a big group known as a “bike bus”. There’s a carnival atmosphere but it’s also got a serious point.

How can you get kids to school safely in a way that’s good for the environment and gives them some exercise too?

Kids in Scotland are joining together in long convoys known as β€œbike buses”. Teachers and parents accompany the joyful multitude of cyclists, which pick up children from pre-determined stops along the way.

  1. If you go to a Catholic school like I did, be careful not to chain your bike to any statues of Virgin Mary, like I did, and I got (mock) tried of blasphemy by the Nuns and Headmaster.
