My bicycle has a steel frame… It’s a really super heavy frame, even heavier than usual steel frames. π
Alas, it’s an old frame, probably made between late nineties and early 2000’s. The handlebar and the seat pole have a diameter of 1/2 inch, and the wheel width that the frame allows is 13.5 cm. π
I have no idea about where to find an old steel frame compatible with the rest of the parts of my bicycle. And “building” a frame is not a choice (not in my country). Does someone know how could I find the bicycle frame that I need? π₯ΊππΎβ€οΈ

That’s a dept store bike. Not just the frame… Everything is gonna be heavy on it. It’s pointless to put those parts on a lighter frame because you’re still going to have a heavy bike.
Cannondale went through that in the 1980s. They put out 4 lb aluminum frames but with all the steel it was still a 30 lb bike.
Plus there are not many high-quality mountain bikes out there taking 24″ wheels. You are better off looking for a better bike to begin with. No Craigslist or FB marketplace ads in Southern Mexico?
The old bulb horn and vintage analog speedometer are a nice touch though.

Dude what…
Second hand bikes are available literally everywhere in Mexico. If you live near Guatemala you can go there and find ridiculously cheap american bikes at the border, if you live near the US almost at any place you’ll also find cheap and good quality bikes. In most of the bigger cities you’ll find second hand bikes. And since you’re tech savvy enough to use Reddit, you should know of MercadoLibre and find a cheap second hand bike there, I know because I regularly search for cheap bikes worthy of new life.
In the end it’s all a matter of how much you want it to cost you, and since department store bike prices here have skyrocketed since I don’t know 2018? You can find a much better used bike in there than any department store has to offer
Sincerely I feel you’re just baiting, but if you’re serious I’ll be glad to help

It looks as if the bike has 24″ wheels?
