  1. Hi, Jon from the U.S. here. At 4:48 you mentioned the changing rooms were free to use at this location. I heard in a different video that restrooms in Ukraine are sometimes pay-to-use. Is there often a fee to use washrooms/toilets in Ukraine or Europe? Most public and restaurant restrooms (washrooms/toilets) are free in the U.S.

  2. Thanks for this video to show us Slovakia! You mentioned the sea- I have often wondered how salty the Black and Azov Sea are compared to the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans we have here in the US. They seem quite far away from the Atlantic Ocean, so maybe I should look up the salinity of each one.

Sadly it is common in the west for hotels and resorts to have many added fees for all their different services. There are usually extra fees for nearly everything. I ask now before booking a reservation about which services have an additional fee. Often there are extra taxes and other hidden fees, so I try to ask what will be my total bill.

I also do love rain– it is a blessing from God! I am so thankful that because of the rain, I live in a green and very productive part of the world! And I loved that you quoted Scripture, God’s Word from the book of Genesis! 💙📖🌧🌈🌲🌳🍓🍒🫐🍑🍎🍇🌶🍉

Yes, there were some strong thunderstorms and a few tornadoes in southern Michigan. This occasionally happens all over the Central US, especially when the weather is very hot and humid in the summer. But it is a rare thing to happen repeatedly, and does not usually re-occur in the same exact areas. When you mentioned thunderstorms in the livestream chat, I thought maybe you were referring to the western US, where there was recently a hurricane in the Pacific Ocean that became a tropical storm over land & caused much flooding. Here in my part of the US we occasionally have thunderstorms when the weather gets hot and humid, but this is normal and not anything unusual like a hurricane or tropical storm! Along the ocean & especially during warm months is hurricane season in the Gulf of Mexico/Carribean/southeastern US. If you want to visit this area of the US in the future, I would recommend not going there in the summer. Spring and fall are safer and more comfortable to be outdoors in the South!

But the US is very large– Ukraine is close to the size of our state of Texas. And sadly, probably mostly due to the large size of our nation, we do not have good public transportation. Most people who travel across our country either own or rent a car. To experience most of the US, you will need to drive a car. I really hope that in the future we will have a better passenger train system!

Also you mentioned about the architecture from Mississippi. When I looked back in your video, I must say the wrought ironwork on those buildings reminds me of some places I’ve seen in Louisiana and other parts of the US South which were colonized by Spain and France. In the southwestern states and Florida, it is more the influence of Spanish culture and architecture. Around Louisiana and the Mississippi River you see more French architectural influences. But wrought iron outdoor furniture is popular across the US, and one branch of my family has a factory which makes this in Michigan.

Thanks again for sharing your travels with us! This was a very enjoyable video! I only recently discovered you due to the Silicon Curtain event in Lviv. It’s very interesting to see places I most likely won’t get to visit on my own. Слава Богу! Перемога Україні! 💙🙏🏽💛

  3. Thank you Jane for sharing your trip with us. That is a beautiful place. I agree with you. I could listen to summer rain for hours, especially when there is also an occasional clap of thunder. That kind of peaceful weather is very relaxing.

  4. So You_go_Slovakia? Thought it was broken up. Looked like a lot of fun. Did you Mom have fun or was she saddled with her whiney brat and couldn't go out and party, like normal people?
For the sun and your skin we here in the US use tar and feathers to keep from getting sunburns. Very effective and the feathers keep you light on your feet. Give it a try. I don't do it because I don't go outside. Prison has rules like that.
But I enjoyed your vlog. Didn't see you washing dishes so was slightly dissappointed.
but you go all of the cool places.
