I bought the frame in London UK a while back and it’s now with me in Toronto. From what I can find online it might be Belgian. All I know is I love riding it but if anyone has any info about it I’d be really interested to know.

Not much I can tell you about the frame but what I can tell you from the components is that’s it’s from around 1989-1990.

Components are Shimano 600 tri color. After this they were rebranded as Ultegra.

  3. The tubing label says more about the frame than the producer. I see no label on this frame. Judging by this and maybe lugs it’s a simple mass made frame with Columbus Gara or Aelle tubes. It still has good forged dropouts.

This is probably a small frame maker’s second line frame. Probably hand made, but without meticulous attention to detail. High quality, but budget friendly.

I can confirm it is 1988-1991 era. I had a number of sponsor-provided team bikes with Shimano 600 on them. The frames were similar, but from different manufacturers.

I used to put an 8-speed bar-end shifter on them. This was before STI shifters. Being able to change gears mid-sprint was a tactical advantage.

It looks like a mid level road bike. The conformation isn’t all that aggressive meaning that its a balance between having a longer wheel base for road riding comfort and the shorter wheel base of a race bike. Vertical rear dropouts are nice. Solid Shimano Tricolor gear. Probably early to mid 80s. A quick search indicates that it’s a Belgian bicycle brand by André Bogaert from Koersel (Beringen.) That’s every thing I see.
