All of the UK can expect to see more dazzling displays of the Northern Lights in coming months.

Scientists say increased solar activity is behind the more frequent celestial shows.

On Thursday evening, the aurora borealis, as it is official known, was again seen as far south as Cornwall.

But if you missed them don’t worry, experts say we are likely to see more displays in the run-up to Christmas.

  1. Nothing to do with the metal particles sprayed into the sky on a daily basis? Nothing to do with the atmosphere being absolutely saturated with metals and the sun rays lighting it up from somewhere else in the planet?

  2. But no mention from SKY for the real reason why Aurora Borialis is becoming more common in the U.K? And that is due to the rapid weakening of Earths magnetic field and the rapid shift in the Earths magnetic poles, (especially the magnetic North Pole).

  3. Spoken with great authority and apparent logic . But ultimately bs . The piece starts with a statement that this has been till now a once in a lifetime event for residents of the UK . But then the ‘expert’ explains that this is all due to a 11 yearly cycle of coronal ejections and therefore not unusual .
