I’m not going to ruin comedy here but it’s definitely fear mongering to act like you have any chance of being shot by an officer for no reason. People can’t really watch the news, hear a story every week about a school shooting or a cop who killed a black man, and think that’s what everything is? I mean, you have to atleast have the brain cells to consider that these situations are outliers, blown out of proportion due to their seriousness and attention. Because they are, and statistics tell us that police officers at a MUCH higher risk of being shot by a suspect than any suspect is of being shot by them. 99% of gun violence occurs every day in urban areas with unregistered firearms. You get that occasional school shooter that uses their dads gun, meanwhile legal firearm owners everywhere prevent crimes and save lives everyday. But through their narrow mindedness and shallow level of critical thinking ability, people think guns are a problem because of less than 1% of gun violence situations and people think American police officers are dangerous and shoot on sight when they’re actually far superior in training and skill to almost any other nations police in the world.
