I’ve been a mechanic for over two decades, never seen this one though …
Picked up this loose pedal in a swap, Dura-Ace right side with a reverse (left hand) threaded spindle. Did someone swap the spindle out incorrectly or is there a reason for this insanity?

If the spindle is removable, my guess is the spindles were inadvertently swapped while being serviced.
