Watch along, as we attempt the impossible: This custom BMX Bike has been neglected and its time for us to bring it’s frame back to life and revive this BMX relic so it can roll again. However, One thing stands in our way: The worlds most stubborn seatpost. This has caused 2 broken tools, many man hours & a TON of lubrication spray. At this point, i’m not sure we will ever achieve our goal of restoring this BMX frame.

  1. Weak. I removed a galled in seatpost by cutting a slot into it and then chisel hammering. It took around 40 hours of hammering but it came out. You can also cut off the top and then file or cut in relief channels from inside to break it out piece by piece.

  2. I had the same problem with an old roadbine once I sawed the top of the post of and then made a vertical cut into the seatpost, afterwards I took a hammer to drive a screwdriver between the post an the frame took some time but it worked

  3. Bro when you heat something…. DONT HEAT THE PART YOUR TAKING OUT. Heat the part around it to make it expand. If you expand the inner part then it will just be tighter😂

  4. With some of the people in this world I wouldn't be surprised if someone used J.B. weld on it seriously.. had a friend in high school J.B. weld his sparkplug in his KX125 cause he stripped out the threads in the head. that's no bullshit.. some people's kids you just never know lol.
