Sram rival crankset (pedalarm)

Hi,

Got a 2023 Ultimate with Sram Rival AXS powermeter crankset.

Found this on my right pedalarm. Looks like the surface is changing from nice n’ polished to scratchy.

My local Sean distributor said it was normal and made to keep cost down. However, two different surfaces require different processing

Anyone else having similar paint job on their right pedalarm?
