Did you have to ask permission to camp on private?
Enchanted Rock was one of my first Boy Scout trips as a wee lad before I moved away from TX, I’ve always loved this area. Looks like an awesome route.
I bought a house between Wimberley and Blanco purposefully as a launch pad for bikes. There are a ton of beautiful, hilly, lightly trafficked routes at the end of the driveway (mix of crappy chip seal to honest gravel/caliche).
Looking forward to the cooler months starting in 60 days. If anyone needs a winter cycling holiday in the center of the Texas Hill Country, we offer the house as a vacation rental. Four bedrooms, amazing pool and view, 10 acres of privacy and quiet, and sublime riding. DM me for details.
