I'm looking to revamp this old school Made in USA 26" Stumpjumper. The fork and gears need to be replaced. Recently got the tires replaced and the bike back into "working" condition, but it still needs a lot of work for a reliable neighborhood commute. What are your thoughts on what I should go on it? What's the best website to find parts these days?

Are those the old tires? I think those were Panaracer Magic Smoke/Dart? They might be worth something on eBay if they aren’t trashed.
Haha word to the wise: keep all the original components around for reference. Headset standards, bottom bracket spindle lengths, who knows what else, they can be super finicky.
