Battling headwinds and broken spokes – Cycle route from Edinburgh to Glasgow | Biketour of Britain

It’s stage 22 of 38 of our biketouring adventure!!
Today we’re leaving the beautiful Edinburgh and heading towards Glasgow! We really enjoyed Edinburgh so it might be tough to impress us further.

The cycle route had such a nicely paved path majority of the way. We liked the cycle apart from the winds! We were cycling straight into a headwind of 30-40km/hr for our entire ride.

So you can imagine our disappointment when Chris broke a spoke, meaning we had to catch a train the remainder of the journey! Luckily, we weren’t far from a station and easily hopped on and arrived in Glasgow in no time.

Apologies for the wind in the clips – we didn’t film too much because we were already going so slow as it was and the wind made it very hard to hear our voices.
