I did the same thing,I went from a 52mm reach to a 40mm reach and bought a shorter frame and noticed a difference.I am 5’6″ so anything bigger than 20.5 tt seems huge to me so I got a 19.69tt frame and 26mm forks.
More pop because of the shorter stem? Or because you went from top load to front load?
