- How do you find the suspension?
- Does it make the riding experience any better or you wish you had bought one with a fixed fork?

If i was buying a bike now and the price difference between suspension and carbon fork was’t too much, i’d go with suspension just out of curiosity.
You can always buy aftermarket carbon fork later if you wont like it.
If you think you’ll mostly ride on road and on smooth / flat paths, then think about a gravel bike like a wide-tire road bike. This is kind of how I use my gravel bike – smooth terrain and touring with wider tires than fit on a road bike.
If you think you’ll ride on rougher terrain a lot, then suspension makes a lot of sense and you’re headed towards a drop bar mountain bike. Personally I have a hardtail with XC tires so I just skip the rough terrain on the gravel bike, so suspension doesn’t interest me. But I think we’ll see more and more gravel bikes with suspension going forward. Mountain bikes figured this out a long time ago.
