As the title says, I recently completed my first solo long (more than a one nighter) bikepacking trip. I started in Amsterdam where I live and cycled to my parents house besides Paris. In total 680km in 6 days. Proud of myself 😎
Nice distance ! I can guess you went through Namur ? Where did you sleep mostly? I find it hard to find places besides campings in these countries

The gravel style bikes never have mud guards. I live in a wetter climate. The mud splashes would drive me insane. I like to stay as clean as possible camping. Why does nobody like mud guards? I understand they would probably take the overall look of the bike down. I want a gravel bike one day but I don’t want a bike without mud guards. Are you relying on your saddle bag to take the splashes? But they later you’re touching a dirty bag. Please inform me lol
