Came though there last friday, did over 600 miles 🙂
The day you recorded this 12th Aug, I was in Shropshire, also sweating my b****cks off. The wind in your face is like when somebody points a hairdryer at ya. The older I get, the less I can cope with extreme heat, do you also think that?
A wonderful ride that was, not like mine a week before, across N. France… all flat, open and boring. I too enjoy that type of riding Shaun. Flowing curvy roads through woodland, it's also not as hot. Good to see ya plugging the Mars bars, always loved them.
The little rebel only has a 11l tank
A bit late as you're back in the UK now but, for future reference, buy fuel from the Supermarket, or for better stuff, Total Energies. They tend to be (a lot) cheaper. I did a test of different petrol companies and supermarkets and found that, in France, Total Energies 98 E5 returned the best MPG on a run.
The conversion factor for miles to kilometres, for those who need it, is 1.609 (use 1.6). So 1 mile is 1.6 km. As you said, in Europe, use Kilometres, you might not get a performance award that way 😁
Excellent watch team.
Great to see both bikes covering miles abroad together.
Ride safe 👍
Hi guys. It's one thing to have a great scenery journey but on the other hand if it's that bleeding hot it spoils the whole day. When you're trying to get to your destination and sweating you're cobs of 😂😂😂. But all worth it when you find the first scoops house 😂😂. Take care and stay safe..
Nice ride
Hi Shaun + Faye, some stunning scenery riding through France, nice to keep of those French motorways and stay on the local and regional roads you don't get charged, great riding video catch you both soon, take care
Another great watch, keep up the good work .
When I knew you were heading to Poitiers, I wanted to offer a meet up as me n my Everton gal are only 35 mins SW. Unfortunately I was suffering from a previous injury (not bike related ) dosed with painkillers, in no state to wander the city on the bevy. Maybe next time.
BTW fuel is cheaper at supermarket filling stations. Its true about the roads, passed through on route to Millau this year and planning next year. Map on my wall centred on Sarlat la-Caneda, 100km in any direction no straight roads.
🤣living the recycling dream 😂🤣.brilliant lol
Just back from Germany paid 2;40 a litre shocking!!!!!!
Abrupt ending? When is the next one?
Loved the spat at the petrol station , identical description “a different person”😂
I knew I was not the only one
All the best
If that road was a little wider it could be any road around me in rural East Coast Canada! Minus the great looking old buildings.
Another great video! 'I'm not hot enough' I'm just not hot enough' I'm pretty sure Shaun thinks you're plenty 'hot enough' Faye 🤣🤣🤣 I think it's something like 'Pot tee yey' if my CSE French helps… Just sayin…😁 'I stink, I need a shower' Yep, we've all been there 🙂 Honda 'sipping' the fuel like a hero… I have a 1985 Honda 500 single, it returned 64-69mpg on a recent trip to the IOW (666 miles) 😲 (I guess the old carb still works pretty well after all) I'd ignore that fuel gauge if I were you…they are pretty much useless….You need to go 'old school' using the trip meter….ask Shaun if you're not sure how. 👍
Love it u 2!!! to TBH done tour this summer of France thru Swiss on to Stelvio back thru Austria Germany and it lashed it down on the way home. So a mental note the hotter it gets the more I dont care coz I know b4 long Im gonna b a miserable git in our wet gloomy/ foggy /damp UK weather ……Great channel. You did comment on a post about the ol bill in Swiss which I appreciated thanks Shaun!!! BTW from now when me an the Lads go Euro tour we gonna give Swiss a miss robbing bast@rds!!!!. Twice we bin stung no more .PS we we could learn on how we the UK could do road maintenance coz our road are a shocking mess !!!!Thx for the rant😀
