Yo whats up everyone! I will be going for the Baja Divide this winter with a Surly Bridge Club (27.5×2.8 tubeless, hydraulic Shimano brakes, 1×11 Shimano Deore). Not including non-bike repair items, I plan on bringing the following repair kit (pictured above):
* Leatherman wave
* 3 spokes (1 front, 1 drive rear, 1 non-drive rear)
* 1 derailleur cable
* 4 small zip ties
* 3 heavy duty zip ties
* 1 extra chain (11S)
* 3 extra masterlinks (11S)
* 6 links of extra chain
* 1 compact chain tool
* 1 spoke key (park tool green)
* 1 plastic tire lever
* 1 wolf tooth multitool (tire lever, valve core remover, masterlink pliers)
* 2x 0.5 oz tire glue
* 10 tire patches
* 1 stein tool cassette & centerlock rotor remover (QR only)
* 0.5 oz dry lube + rag
* 2 extra tubes (2.8 X 27.5)
* 8-2 mm hex keys, 1x T25 torx
* Toothbrush for drivetrain
* 1 set extra brake pads (2 pairs total)
* 2 tire boots
* 1 topeak mountain morph pump
* 3 extra valve cores
* 1 extra pump o ring
* Presta to schrader adapter
* 2 extra spoke nipples
* 3 extra brake pad pins
* 2 extra braze-on bolts
* 2 extra pannier screws
* 1 extra presta cap
* 2 extra presta valve lock nuts
* Tire plug w/ 20 bacon strips
* 4 oz extra tire sealant
* 25 g CO2 cartridge + charger
Wondering if there is anything you all would add or anything you would leave behind. Also, as a side note, my bike will have gone through about 2 chains by the time I start. I’ve been pretty diligent about replacing as soon as I get to 0.5%, and my cassette is not very worn. Still, I’m wondering if it would be worth it to start with a new cassette (definitely starting with a new chain no matter what). Thanks for your input!
