This summer I did the National 24 Hr TT on the T line 12 speed. I trained the summer on the P line 12 speed.
For those of you wondering whether the 12 speed is worth getting etc. I have to say I think it's the best gear range brompton do, I never wanted for a gear or found big gaps. It makes the bike properly usable as a bike.
The T line is a creaky fast bit of kit (there's a lot you can do to make the creaks less) and if you have the money then go get it, but I think for 99.9% of those using a brompton the P line 12 speed is the perfect bike, if they did 12 speed C line (non electric) I'd argue that the only 2 gear ranges that they should offer is 3 or 12. 3 for total reliability, 12 for usability. I don't think the 4 speed has a place really.
So after 367+ miles in 24 hours and a few months of training on it as if it's a road bike I can categorically say the 12 speed is amazing.
But brompton. I wish your standard seat post was 1" longer. I don't quite need an extended seat post, but wish I had a bit more in a standard, for a better fit,and I prefer the fold on a standard. Lol.
So yeah – if you're on here dithering between models, get a P line 12 speed is my advice. Or the base model 3 speed. The T line… I just don't think the price jump is worth it, but it IS light and it is quicker. A lot.
As for the G line .. can't comment I've not ridden one, but I have taken my old m3l off road on gravel etc with no issue….

Epic effort, hope you didn’t have too much seatpost slippage during your 24hr
Cool.

Have you turned the pentacle clip upside down You might gain that 1″
