Bought this after finding out that my bike was not compatible with wahoo trainers and have discovered that there is contact between the frame and the bike. Has anyone come across this before ? Is there a risk of damage to my frame?

To close to be safe, imo. You’re never steady on a trainer and rock a little. Definitely some paint damage and possibly the frame.
