Get a #3 Easy-Out. If that fails, simply drill the head off to release the pressure. The axle should thread out easily afterwards.

I saved boxxer fork and wheel thanks to, what I believe was, t30 or t40 torx bit. Mofo was baked together so good, that when it finally let go, I felt the smell of burned gun powder.
You need to prop the other side of the axle good, as to not damage anything and hammer it in good, because otherwise you will just strip the aluminum.
If you know that it’s not over tightened and sized on, use extractor bit as it’s a safer option

Yea get yourself a torx bit set with several sizes. You should be able to get that out no problem.
There are easy outs that might work too.
Worse case scenario, you can drill the head out carefully. After that you’ll need to extract and remove the axle which could be tedious. I’ve found a well drilled hole, smaller than the axle size, with an ez out, works best in those cases.
Good luck, hopefully the torx does the trick.

Don’t use the easy out, in my experience they just chew up the metal and don’t grip it. Carefully hammering in a flathead screwdriver worked a charm for me

Have you tried getting a thick elastic band and either allen key or better if you have it a torx? You might need to use a bit of force to get it in, but the elastic band can give the traction you need!

something called an “easy out” which is a tapered square that you hammer into the stripped bolt head, fucking up the material even more to get some bite.
once you do this, you can never use that axle again.
this looks too stripped to be hammering in a torx. i would use a proper easy out as they have more bite.

First order yourself a replacement through axle.
I would try in the following order:
1. Try hammering in torx bit
2. Try bolt extractor/ ez out
3. Use dremel to cut slot for flathead
4. Drill it out (find out thread size and use a drill that is smaller than the minor diameter of male thread). You don’t want to mess this up as it could ruin your frame. I would take it to a shop if not confident in doing on your own. Not easy to do while it’s attached to the trainer. Drilling the hole perfectly aligned is no easy task. I have done it many times in low risk scenarios. I would be very nervous doing it to my frame.
If all else fails congrats you’ve got a dedicated trainer.
