We’ve planned a route along the coast which will have a lot of traffic including RVs. My partner thinks these side flags are safer for busy roads. Your thoughts?
That looks really close and I wouldn’t someone thinking that’s how close they should get.
On the other hand, anything you want to do it increase your visibility, really. You could also put a flag above the bike, the higher the better. Bigger lights.
People who are more visible generally have a story behind it.

Pretty sure the rednecks around me would assume that was a bullseye, kind of like on the one of those dunk tanks at the carnival. Most likely they would be rolling coal in celebration as they drove bye.

If someone’s going to buzz you, I don’t think this will stop them. Your lane position will have much more of an impact.
