I did the sameโฆ with the stretch goal of 300 miles โฆ. Just 120 to go !!!
Hi John: Having watched your recent cycling video I would first like to say I wish you all the very best of luck with the Cancer Support Cycling… Now Iโm a 55โyear old man who with thought and respect for you like to share something with you. I understand the British Weather is never always promising for us British people, So on that note and I wouldnโt expect you to have thought about this but in preparation for you Cancer Support Cycling day approaching; and me being a Motor Biker where I have been caught out too many a time more so when I happened to be riding in the Scottish Highlands. Have you considered purchasing some Motorbike Waterproof Trousers and a water proof over coat as they are not as expensive as you may think. Look up OXFORD RAIN SEAL OVER JACKET, These are a very good over jacket and also look up Oxford Aqua B25 back pack 100% water proof.
My Oxford gear Iโd purchased on line via the internet and my water proof trousers were purchased from Youles Honda in Manchester, Waterproof bottoms cost me at the time of purchase ยฃ40 as they were on Sale, Great timing as well now nearing the end of season for motorbike clothing as they for sure will keep you warm. This kind of clothing is perfect for cycling in.
There is nothing worse than getting saturated right through to your skin, Awful feeling, As Iโve experienced it Nonetheless if either of the above for your long-term future doesnโt interest you and as this cause is a special occasion, I will be more than happy in preparation for your training and of the actual day to support Cancer
Iโll Be happy to loan you my Motorbike Waterproofs and back pack plus my Motorbike Buffalo Bike coat; Your more than welcome to try them so if your near home Manchester way soon let me know I be happy to make arrangements to meet you.
With best intentions; Steve from Manchester, Iโm always watching – Yours & Mandyโs Videoโs in the meantime take care.
Well done, Just sent a small donation. I need to get off my backside and do some more cycling.
I had the misfortune of cycling near Beverley with a friend whoโs an obsessive runner. I was worn out but the scurrying little rat, as Iโve often called her, wanted to do more.
Have a look into helmets with visors. Iโve got a helmet with a flip down visor that I use to keep my glasses dry. Being able to see where Iโm going is a fetish of mine. I donโt like using the Force.
Well done John. Get out there and give โem some. Maybe you could look for some jeans with a fitted chamois to protect your derriere?
Good luck John with the cycle challenge
I applaud you for promoting the awareness about prostate cancer. ๐Then there is the health benefits and the personal challenged well done ๐. Good rain protection seems to be a must as well, besides the helmet, protective ๐ฒ gloves perhaps.
Flippin eck John. You did well there. But I'm concerned you're not wearing a more high vi's jacket. Especially in that horrible weather. Hope you had your rear light on.
Well done, mate, it's a great cause. I'm doing the 100 miles one, un-assisted, although this evening I wished I had an e-bike ๐๐
Well done John! But please wear a high viz jacket! โค
Well done John, a million miles from where we met on Stage 1 & 5. Still away, another 33degs day ahead here but your vlog is helping me to keep it real ๐ค๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
John at the end of the day itโs an electric bikeโฆโฆ who really cares youโre doing this for a very good cause crack on dude ๐๐๐
๐๐๐๐๐
I used to wear breathable waterproof trousers over cycle shorts else I'd get sweaty legs, etc. It's been about 30 years since I cycled near Beverley though! I cycled in Peterborough for a long time as they have an extensive network of cycle paths, but they were strewn with broken glass and pedestrians.
Market wee-ton ๐ I used to cycle from Beverley to cherry Burton to go to work and it was horrid in the rain. Hope you are enjoying east Yorkshire. I think it's very under rated but I grew up there so I guess I'm biassed
Well done John, that looked horrible. Thank you for sharing the awareness of Prostrate Cancer ๐๐ very happy to donate. Keep up the good work ๐๐๐๐
Just bought the GB3 on the back of your Tour de France videos. Itโs really fantastic.
Hi John you are a star great charity canโt find the link
Found it John
Keep up the good work John.
