Flåm Railway & biking itinerary 🇳🇴 [Day 6 of our Norway trip]
☕️ Coffee & pastries at Marianne Bakeri & Kafé.
🚞 Flåm Railway: described as one of the world’s most scenic train rides, this is a popular attraction in Norway. You can buy one-way (510NOK/$47) or round-trip (730NOK/$68) tickets.
If you opt for a one-way ride (highly recommend!), you can bike or hike back. The train was beautiful, but our favorite part by far was biking!
🚲 Bike rental: you can rent bikes in Flåm, but we recommend picking them up when you get off the train in Myrdal Cafe Rallaren.
Good to know: They have a few child seats and tow-behind buggies. If you need those, we recommend making reservations.
🥮 after getting back to Flåm, we popped into the coziest cafe — Bakkastova Cafe — to get out of the rain. Cute vibes, yummy brunost (brown cheese) cheesecake, wine & beer, and wayyy less packed than the super popular restaurant/brewery in the center of town.
🚐 we camped on a stunning fjord that was one of the inspirations for Frozen.
