The whole purpose of this build is to generate qi energy quickly to recharge the plainton fan 🪭 to defeat erlang shen. You need at least 16% critical chance in your build , you want to be able to inflict critical strikes (those yellow numbers) which pops up as i deal damage with whirling thrust animation in order to generate qi energy to replenish the plainton fan. All your gear, your spirit, your relic , your skill tree thrust stance abilities, your pills should contribute to building up critical chance to do critical strikes.
I forgot to mention this, you might want to respec into having maxed out stamina which will immensely help with the whirling thrust ability , use celestial pills at the dog merchant to increase your stamina gauge. Ideally , you want to have your critical chance and stamina fully maxed out for this fight.
Looks very easy, but I find it VERY difficult to keep him close enough for the whirling strikes. He always gets knocked back unless he is in a corner. For some reason he stays put really well in yours. Mine he just falls way far back. After that, it's extremely easy for this approach to go awry and then it all falls apart like dominos.

Bro this dude is fr harder than radahn and it’s so stupid. Literally he counters almost half your moves and powers. Then it’s mandatory to have to watch him do is flying attacks. Then this man has like 0 window in his 3rd phase and just keeps attacking and attacking. So now you left with just fighting him with like only one ability. He’s a cool boss to see but dumb boss to fight. He’s everything you don’t want in a wukong boss. t

Beat him after about 3 hours and several close attempts. Its a demanding but fun fight were you have to memorize a lot. I enjoy the game a lot more than expected.

I finally did it I don’t know who I did it I was high, but I got him with that rock transformation and just basically did enough dps before running out of gourds and I used the spine shooting fuban staff cause bro a 25% crit chance is gold plus the fan
Fuck this game , just went round farming so i can make this build , for it to be patched , i just wanna start ng + but this cunts been holding me back for weeks , fuck this game that dont even have essentials
i think the patch unintentionally made this boss 5 times harder than prepatch to prevent the cheese. i think they made it so after 3 stagger hits he gets super armor so u can no longer just stunlock him. but they also considerably reduced the amount of Qi u get per hit (even from crits) that one is rough … having to go thru a full phase of shield because i cannot generate enough Qi to use the fan.
