just bought a new eclat chain and installed it, ive double checked its installed right and whatnot and im pretty sure it is but my bike is making this noise? is it the bottom bracket or sprocket, or is it the chain?

It’s normal. The chain just needs to break in.
Same old problems as many have, new chain isn’t worn in to the the old driver. The driver has wear and burs on the teeth from the one chain and it’s not meshing well on the new one, you’ve got to clean up the driver a bit and wear it into the new chain
