I was a blackjack dealer/pit boss for 16 years. You really have to come to an agreement first. Sometimes it’s just borrowing it and they just give you your money back. In other cases the deal is you get your money back and split the winnings on the hands you bet on. Some cases it’s all yours except whatever hand the player bet on because you had all the risk. Sometimes I’ve literally seen them just pick and hand and say “I’ll take this one.” Point being, y’all need to establish your deal first because I’ve seen literal fights break out over that shit

Generally in poker. When somebody buys you in, especially if he covered 100%… If you win, you gotta pay him the whole amount of the buy-in and then you split the winnings (50/50, 60/40, etc…).. You wouldnt have gotten anything at all if the staker didnt finance your way in.
It's not like Jaime is broke though, he just didn't have it on him and didn't want to leave the table to hit the atm. Shane should have just floated him the money and get paid back the minute they left the table.

Makes sense Shane gets a cut but not 75% unless agreed upon ahead of time. If not agreed upon he should get the mathematical difference in starting with and ace vs any other card.
