Bought a second hand FD (5503) and new it comes with a "Pro-set alignment block", which of course is not supplied. I was wondering whether anybody had a hack to use as replacement for when I want to set up the FD. Cheers

You could use a pen?
What’s the point of an alignment block? It’s easy to align the FD to the big chainring with your eyes.
You don’t really need that, but it makes setting up the height a little easier. If I want to use something like this to set up a FD, just about anything will work. Shove a round screwdriver, a 5-6mm hex key, a pencil, etc in there.
