I feel ya, but that first one happens to me almost every day. It’s not OK but I’ve just come to expect it at this point.

How do you like the Velo Orange Crazy Bars? I like mine. I put them on my tandem.

What you do in both cases is to pass on the left. For the right hook (your first clip) you could see he was slowing down, so I just maintain speed (or speed up) and pass on the left. As a general rule, as I approach an intersection and a car has slowed to my speed, I take the lane in front of or behind the slowing car. If that car is turning right then I pass on its left (obviously don’t do this if it’s turning left). If I am approaching an intersection and a car is going fast then I don’t take the lane, as that car is going straight. I ride pretty fast so I have yet to see a car execute an e-brake turn in front of me.
