Bought my first bike today. Yes it is a cheapo WalMart bike but seems like a great starter for me. Tweaked the disc brakes a bit as they were rubbing and adjusted the derailleur since most gears were 'clicking'. Learned quite a bit and got out enjoying a quick 10 mile first ride

Hell yeah. Enjoy!
Sweet… But if the bicycle standover height is good (the bike is not too big), I would try raising the seat up to your hip, would me for a much more comfortable ride.
I have a carbon road bike and just picked this exact one up for minor off road or riding with my daughter around town. Once you get past a bunch of minor issues that need to be tweaked, probably from shipping, it’s actually a great first bike. Enjoy
I have the same bike. Still fine tuning it. It just makes a lot of noises I know it shouldn’t. Learning little by little.
