Pedestrians & cyclists have the right of way. However pedestrians also have to abide by road rules. Not slowing & preparing to stop at an intersection is far more of a concern.

He looks to his left where that’s the direction he wants to turn rather than observing both ends to see if nearby cars will pass by. 3)Speed at a junction. instead of slowing down he keeps almost the same speed as when was trying to pass through the passenger.
Looking at the comments is telling how many people dont know the new changes made to the highway code. Then again these changes were poorly advertised.

The pedestrian was already in the road, he should have gave way to him.

As a pedestrian I hate when cars stop in front of me when they’re coming up to the junction. I prefer to go round the back of the car. Is it just me?
