I am wondering what you all pack for a puncture and where it is located on your bikes.
I found on instagram several ideas but I am thinking of 1 all-in-one tool instead of a separate co2 pump and plug kit.
Which plug kits are worth it ?
I dont like to put it into a frame bag / top tube bag because my food is in there and its full. The same with my back pockets.
Saddle bag is too big imo.

The Dynaplug CO2 system is what you’re after if you want to combine them. The Dynaplugs are so much better than bacon strips. I haven’t personally used the CO2 Dynaplug version, though. I’m carrying the Racer Pro and a separate CO2 inflator.

ETA: You can get aftermarket holders that’ll carry both the Racer Pro and a CO2 alongside a bottle cage: if you go the route like I did:

  2. Dynaplug for sure, but which one is your call. I use the racer pro and it’s been fantastic. For racing I have a co2 kit, but I bring a small pump either way as if the co2 fails, you’re cooked.

Personally, I don’t think a saddle bag has to be that big for race-day. I run a morimono nano pack with a dynaplug, tpu tube, small tool, co2 and levers. Lashing stuff to the frame has never worked well for me.

Forgot that I gave a tube away this weekend and haven’t put a new one in, but you can see here what a minimal setup will get you.

This is the one I run on my road bike, the gravel bike has the same, there’s room enough for a ~40c sized tpu tube. The co2 will fit with the regulator on, i just dont have it on right now.

Dynaplug Racer is “the bomb”, as I believe youngfolk say.

Personally I prefer a CO2 head with a good valve, so the same CO2 vial can be used later for a topup; it stops the urge to take a second or third CO2 vial on long adventures. But if you prefer something like the Dynaplug Air, that could be cool too!
