    What type of crank is this and how the heck do I get the cranks and bottom bracket off?

      **Cranks** – square taper. Crank puller like Park Tool CWP-7 will do.

      **Bottom bracket** – BSA / English threaded cup and cone. Lockring wrench + large wrench for the non-drive side. Probably a fixed cup tool for the drive-side (sometimes you can also do it with a large wrench if you can get enough purchase on the cup).

      Square taper cranks & bottom bracket.

      Tools:

      Crank puller
      Wrench that fits the crank puller
      Lock ring wrench (or hammer + flat screwdriver)
      Appropriate wrench for removing the BB (can’t see clearly enough to tell what tools your specific BB requires, but some require a splined tool, some a pin spanner, some a BB wrench, some require 2 different tools)

      Looks like a square taper crank and a cup and cone bottom bracket.

      You need a crank puller to pull the cranks off and a cup and cone bb wrench to remove the bottom bracket off(park tool hcw-5 is a tool that works).

      To get that BB off you can use a large crescent and some channel locks

      As the for the arms themselves a park tool crank puller is super cheap and the best solution

      Crank pullers are such a satisfying tool to use! Attach, turn, and just feel that crank just slip right off.

      I’ve heard of people using wedges of some kind to force cranks off when the threads were ruined. But so much easier to buy a cheap puller in this case.
