If it helps at all I’m looking to use the bike as an all rounder (commuting 2 days a week but only for 3k each way, and then fun solo / group rides?
I have ordered a cycle to work voucher from my employer so don’t have the choice to buy used and my limit is £930.

Are you sure you want to start with a road bike for commuting and leisure rides?
Have you considered a commuter / hybrid / urban / fitness bike?

If you will be commuting in the rain then you will probably want fenders.

A road bike would often be if you want to work your way up to faster longer 50km, 100km plus solo or group rides.
Or an alternative to a road bike is a gravel bike if you have many unpaved roads to ride near you.
you cant ad any money yourself? saving up like 100£(?) and getting a 105 disc would be amazing you. love that groupset.
