I’ve no idea if anyone else will find this useful, but I thought I should share. Both the portage pack and the plastic liner bags nicely fit a Brompton with some room to spare.

I wouldn’t take it on a long hike, but it’s a far more comfortable way to carry a Brompton than the shoulder strap on a Dimpa bag. I found that putting the handlebar toward my back actually doesn’t cause anything to dig in. I’ll still be adding something flat as a frame sheet before taking it on any canoe trips with long portages.

You are my hero!  I was going to retrofit an external frame pack to have a ‘box’ for a family member to carry up to her apartment.  She is getting older and lifting with legs while being able to balance with hands is becoming more and more important.
