Noticed on my son’s helmet today there is a chip at the bottom near the ear in the foam. He hasn’t crashed so this is almost certainly from garden variety tween abuse of property he didn’t pay for.
I’ve always replaced helmets after a crash or around 4 years of age, but with no crash and only 2 years old on this one how would you qualify this type of damage? Being around the bottom edge like this am I to assume the whole structure is compromised?
