Castaño Santo, or Holy Chestnut situated at 710m elevation in the Sierra de las Nieves Spain.
Legend has it that at the dawn of the 16th century, King Ferdinand the Catholic held a mass of thanksgiving beneath its branches before suppressing the Moorish “Rebellion of Sierra Bermeja” in 1501.
Nice 15k / 670m elevation gravel ride up to it with points up to 15%. Down is even better!
