45ft gaps, mega ramps, satins slay ride all ridden by some of the most badass women on mountain bikes. Rampage isn’t ready for the women’s field to start throwing down. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Seems like a leap to say because elite women riders can clear huge crazy jumps (I don’t dream of trying) at a bike park, they should go to rampage, or that the men’s field isn’t ready for them. I personally don’t enjoy Rampage. Watched it once with my kids, and had to assure my kids someone would be ok when they watched him go down and break multiple bones and get helicoptered out.
Women should have their own event instead of Rampage. Rampage keeps going but it is not clear it is getting bigger or better for Redbull. It’s paralyzed riders, broken many limbs, etc. The riding is becoming more and more technical because they can’t really drop anything bigger than what they’ve already dropped. If today’s best women riders were to try the lines the men do at rampage, it would be even more injuries and maybe a death (which will eventually happen at rampage eventually). Yes, there are physical differences between the sexes. Being able to clear 45 gaps at a bike park is not the same as dropping lines at rampage in terms of difficulty and consequence.
