fixed gear bike is not a fashion accessory bruh it’s very serious hobby that requires you to look beside the chain stains and focus on the vibe the bicycle is putting out

are you sure your foot/trousers aren’t ever bumping against the chain accidentally?
you could try a chain guard?
maybe switch lube brands?

cuff your pants, maybe get wider pedals, straighten your feet out when you’re riding. it’s gonna happen anyways tho and honestly if you’re worried about messing up your shoes you prolly can’t afford to be riding in them

Get black shoes! Jk!

Def not cleaning & lubing your chain properly if there’s that much crap. If you’re not into cleaning it regularly, at least wipe off the excess after lubing it. My Nikes only have toe overlap burns none of this

Haven’t gotten a smudge of grease anywhere since I started waxing the chain

This is a combo of pedaling “heel in” and wearing chunky shoes.

I prefer to ride in dunks or Jordan 1 lows and I just accept it as the cost of riding.

Physics Rule: your riding shoes will get nasty
Tip: wear shoes that look good nasty (clipless MTB shoes, Red Wing Weekenders, anything black and/or dark brown) and carry your walking shoes in your mess bag.

Riding fixed in Jordan’s is insane work

Why do you ride with these? Must be super uncomfortable how bulky they are.
