Total build cost ~1100USD
My first ever steel frame and gravel bike, as well as my first ever bike built from scratch!
Koozer GX5300 frameset
Koozer CX1600 wheelset
Continental Terra Trail 700c 40mm tyres
Ltwoo GR9 1×11 groupset
TRP Spyre brake calipers
Didn't want exposed cables so used the zip tie method.
Full bike with pedals weigh in at 10kg on the dot – is it heavy for a gravel bike?
Would love to hear your thoughts and comments, as well as answer any questions on the build!

Thats really interesting and not something I knew was possible. Which parts exactly were from AliExpress? It looks great.
Considering my carbon Lauf is 20lb, that doesn’t seem very heavy to me.
Very cool. Had a look at the frame, the effective top tube is very close for the size, nice!
My full carbon everything gravel bike weighs around 9.5kg. So no I wouldn’t say yours was heavy at all!
Most of the weight on mine is the extra on the wider tyres, wider deeps section carbon rims, and the fact GRX isn’t the lightest group set.
Which Ti brand is that? I’ve had two customers bring in their brokenChinese ti frames in the last 8 months – one headtube/top tube crack, the other a rear left dropout fail. Titanium is over-rated as a material – it’s heavy, expensive, fragile and imminently bury-able.
Come back in a year and tell us how it went
What did it cost all in?
Please clamp your seat post and not the top tube
Is it clear coated or what?
