Im about to buy a new chain because ive been running on a kmc hv410 for awhile, opinions on this chain? I saw its an njs approved chain so its probably fairly durable right?

Njs isn’t a mark of quality, it just means that it’s approved for use in keirin. And conditions on a Velodrome are very different from those outside, so even if it were very good _for keirin,_ that wouldn’t necessarily make it a very good chain for riding outside with all the various weather conditions and road crud. If anything rust proofing is a factor for a chain that’s going to be used outside, but honestly the chain is one of the last parts I’d worry about. It’s a wear item anyway and even the cheapest ones are plenty strong.
They make excellent chains. Pretty sure their main business is industrial chains. I had one a while back and it just refused to wear out.
i’ve managed to somehow break links on both d.i.d chains i’ve had, but it might just be me? i usually get izumi chains, the super toughness is sweet. i have an izumi eco i have now probably has a couple thousand miles on it and looks fine and is silent as long as i lube it sometimes
I have this exact chain amd I love it. Breaking a chain is not something I even think about. It just works.
