  1. Pedaling technique aside, it could be a whole bunch of things from the pedals, to the bottom bracket, to your suspension to your seat post, to your seat rails. You are going to have to isolate each one of these. Either take it to the shop and see if they can find it or put it on a bike stand and start turning the pedals to see if it happens again. Believe it or not a used paper towel roll is going to help you isolate the location of the noise. If the noise doesn’t occur on the bike stand think weight bearing items on the bike. This kind of situation can be a total PITA.

    As a few people have said it could be any number of things but I had a very similar issue recently and after a lot of investigation it was the bottom bracket. Tbh I thought it was going to be a big job but I taught myself via YouTube, bought the tools and I was able to do the job myself. If you do decide to replace the bottom bracket should that be the issue bear I mind there are many different BB standards and most require specific tools to replace them so check which one you have
