I’m looking at two very different bikes. I need an around town, commuter bike. I want to be able to put panniers on it for grocery shopping, and I don’t want to be too worried about locking it up outside of a restaurant if I go out. I have secured bike parking at work, so that’s not an issue. It would be great if I found something that could also work as a gravel bike. I prefer drop handle bars and want something that can go decently fast. I had an 80s steel frame Motiv bike, but it was stolen out of a car last night. Obviously, I aesthetics are important to me too.
[The Peugeot](https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1220600292469750) is much cheaper than the Bianchi and I think would be less of a theft target, but I’m worried about replacement parts. What concerns should I have with a vintage bike like this?

[The Bianchi](https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/991466619198317?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A5d2576fe-f5e1-4fee-9370-e50682eedbf8) is more expensive and nicer looking, so I’m worried about theft. But I’ve also dreamed of a Bianchi in the Celeste colorway for a long time, and I like that I could do some gravel with this bike. Is $550 a fair price, or could I negotiate down?
